Amit Sadh is Taapsee’s Mannerless Majnu!

After receiving a great response to the trailer and two songs of RunningShaadi.com, the new song ‘Mannerless Majnu’ of much awaited film RunningShaadi.com was launched at a suburban preview theatre in Mumbai. Present at the launch were the lead pair Amit Sadh with Taapsee Pannu, producer Shoojit Sircar and director Amit Roy. The song Mannerless Majnu has been composed by Abhishek Ray and Akshay Bafila. The lyrics of Mannerless Majnu has been penned by Manoj Yadav and sung by Sukanya Purkayastha. Much like it’s previously launched numbers, Mannerless Majnu too has a quirky with to it with great vocals. The song follows the release of the last song sung by Bappi Da, Pyaar Ka Test for which the singer even shot a special video in LA.

hile interacting to the media, Amit Sadh shared that he is a very romantic and Mannerless Majnu in real life like his reel character in the film. He also said that he admires actresses like Priyanka Chopra, Taapsee Pannu and Kangana Ranaut a lot because they are very dedicated and honest to their craft and an amazing talent in the industry.

Taapsee said, adding, “When I signed up for this film I knew that I had to be myself so the way Amit Roy opened me as an actor eventually that is what you saw in Baby and then in Pink, I owe a lot to this film and my director Amit Roy to make me the actor I am today. This film is extremely special to me and I want everyone’s support and help to notice this because I can guarantee everyone that you all have cried with me and you will laugh with me when you watch this film.”

“I was blown by the actor Amit Sadh is when I saw him in Kai Po Che! then when I started casting for RunningShaadi.com, Mukesh Chhabra told me about Amit Sadh and when I met him I was sure the very first moment when he walked in I noticed how he has changed since Kai Po Che! and how he would perfectly fit into the character that I wanted him to play. And when I gave him the script, Amit agreed to do the role in three hours”, said director Amit Roy.

Shoojit Sircar also shared a thrilling incident that how he helped his friends elope before in real life, He said, “It’s a very adventurous vibe. I had to keep a look out for the parents, the police, the people, because maybe someone searching for him or the girl. I remember this one incident very vividly; I had to hide my friend and his now wife on the terrace foe a whole 24 hours which was very risky but I tend to laugh about it now.”

Directed by Amit Roy and produced by Shoojit Sircar and Crouching Tiger Motion Pictures, RunningShaadi,com is a romantic-comedy about the unique concept of helping people run away with the love of their life to get married. The unlikely duo of a conscientious Bihari and a Sardarji geek stand up and create a platform providing “High Take Social Service“ to Indian couples who want to spend their lives with their soul mates. The film will hit the theatres worldwide on 17th February, being released by Reliance Entertainment and the music is by Times Music.
