Shah Rukh Khan launches Karan Johar’s biography ‘An Unsuitable Boy’
KJo’s best friend Shah Rukh Khan was present to launch the much talked about biography on the filmmaker’s life. The book captures details from Karan’s life, starting right from his childhood to his entry into the film industry with a blockbuster of a debut. The event also saw Karan’s mentees, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra in attendance, the two walked in seconds apart. Ayan Mukherjee, Shakun Batra, Suchitra Pillai, Punit Malhotra, and Gauri Khan were also present at the do.
‘Raees’ star Shah Rukh released Karan’s book by saying that he doesn’t feel that ‘An Unsuitable Boy’ is an apt title for his book, it could have been anything else, ‘A Good Boy’, ‘An Intelligent Boy’, ‘A Sensitive Boy’, ‘A Brave Boy’, or perhaps ‘The Most Beautiful Boy’. Khan added that, “Karan is a good boy, and his parents, Hiroo and Yash, would attest to it. It doesn’t matter even if it’s 3 am, he likes to spend time with his mother. Karan understands people.”
Shah Rukh ended the launch jokingly by adding, “I used to feel I have arrived if I will win a few awards. I will feel that I have arrived, when I sign with a certain director, and so on. But I feel that I have truly made it in Bollywood, because my family has an entire chapter in the book.”
