Dear Zindagi – Rx – A Must Take.

Gauri Shinde – Take a Bow. It takes a director like you to make the unconventional conventional. There are directors who spin their wheel for Box Office with the SRK Syndrome and than we have you who brings him as a cinematic remedy for all of us.
Gauri Shinde more than a director you have been a doctor this time with Dear Zindagi and yes we all need such doctors to visualize and envision life with ease. Take a bow for optimizing cinema to this level where you make your audience visit a Psychiatrist and serving them with a great slice of life.
Alia Bhat as Kiara is a catalyst to each one of us; making us walk through our journey in her shoes. Shahrukh Khan as Jahangir Khan is someone whom we all need more in our life. They are all very much there in our life, with whom we love to sit and talk, at times may be just as listeners, at times may be just as sitting in right front of you to feel good, feel comfort. That’s the aura of Shahrukh Khan Bollywood had been missing since quite a while. He is at ease and makes you feel at ease with each session he does with Kiara is a session with you. Director wins here. You will be forced to think of those 5 people who are close to you day-in and day-out who form your power. He will force to widen your horizon making you think positive; making you feel better. He will make you walk you through your childhood, your experiences with your parents, siblings giving you a slice of life you forgot it exists.
Dear Zindagi is an experience no matter where you stand in life; it just fits rightly whomsoever you are, a spouse, a boyfriend, a girlfriend, an admirer, a parent, a friend, a sibling.
Alia Bhat as Kaira is vibrant, strong, confident and yet vulnerable when it comes to handling her chairs(boyfriends), none of them she finds comfortable enough to sit for long with. Not that she doesn’t want to, it is just through her experiences of life she can’t. That’s where we do connect, not all of us have ever been lucky to have the same reciprocation from someone whom we love the most. It breaks us; it handicaps our reasoning; it gives us an emotional breakdown difficult to handle. Kaira breaks through chair after chair and comes across Jahangir Khan (SRK) who helps her reason out and the journey helps you as well somewhere to reason out, making you interact with your inner-self while you are still in the cinema hall. It leaves a lasting impression.
If you are a young parent, this film will unfold what your child might go through if you miss the zindagi beat running behind your ambitions, abandoning the child, their childhood.
If you capture the zindagi beat right, Dear Zindagi tells you what you should not be missing upon, widening your horizon helping you being a great parent.
Kaira when breaks down on a comment, parenting is a fulltime task with no break, she delivers a performance that you will sit and notice; she makes you dive into your deep thoughts realizing the slice of life you just received.
If you are a child, a son, a daughter, this film will unfold your perception to look at your parents as not just parents but also as any regular people, as friends who make mistakes and it should be ok. It will allow you to bridge the gap and make you little more accepting.
Dear Shahrukh khan, with DearZindagi you become the best cinematic Psychiatrist audiences can have. It’s a mass treatment; a movement for the healthy mind. We look forward on more such substantial roles than what we have seen off-late.
Dear Alia Bhat, you prove it’s in your genes. Saying that, it doesn’t take away the hard work, the soul you put in your roles. We love these tight slaps to the people who make fun of your intellectual. The directors rightly envision your potential to be a Kaira, to be a Veera.
Dear Gauri Shinde, take a bow for serving us this slice of life.
Dear Readers, embrace Dear Zindagi at a cinema near you. It’s a must take.
Verdict: Platinum*****
