Bollywood 2016 is pouring good films. Wazir, Airlift, Saala Khadoos kept the Indianism high around the patriotic month. Come Feb and the first movie sets the mood right for the Valentine. This Valentine go eternal with Sanam Teri Kasam – A divine Picture Perfect Love Story.

Radhika Rao & Vinay Sapru –The directors have nailed this one perfectly right. The freshness Harshvardhan & Mawra bring on screen is as fresh as cucumber. The Hot Harshvardhan and the cool Mawra bring in the perfect required chemistry onscreen bringing the house-down with their performances in a simple love story well crafted carrying richness in their souls shaping up their characters Inder & Saru making their love Divine.
Love thy neighbor is the key that unfortunately turns a curse a love story is sealed with as claimed by the makers in the tagline that doesn’t really go well with the movie as the highlight is not the curse but the great chemistry these two bring it on screen.
Harshvardhan aka Inder aka baawanbattadoh resides in the same society where Mawra aka Saru resides. Saru’s family has a desperate challenge of her getting married to clear the path for younger sister eager to get wedlock. Saru’s Dad Manish Chaudhari is in the skin of the Dad from south – eager to find a groom for Saru, but getting nowhere. Saru is geek and dull to attract anyone upfront to get hooked up on her own. She is not a loser; to keep up the terms Saru plans a makeover and reaches out to baawanbattadoh aka Inder the neighboring help. This incident changes Saru’s life and brings in the curse tagged in the poster. However, this is where, the love story begins that doesn’t end – it goes with you when you leave the auditorium and this one would stay longer – its eternal.
Saru is a geek seeking life; seeking a partner who admires her, supports her, she has the desire to be wanted than mere sympathy, empathy, charity as she rightly states in her lines. She is made to love and you would fall in love with her seeing her unwinding herself on the song “Kheech Meri Photo” one of the best in the movie, with the lyrics taking the story ahead. Next song that’s brings life to their story is peppy number “Wikipedia pe check karle” sung by Himesh. Ankit Tiwari’s Title song Sanam Teri Kasam too is well integrated with the storyline and so is the “Haal-e-dil” that takes the narration ahead.
Inder is shown as modern day alcoholic, care-free moving along with the bottle on the Mumbai streets, son of a top lawyer holding criminal records depicting a bad social image but a golden heart. Plays a great friend to kismat ki maari Saru. They bring the house-down with their performances, their chemistry, their tenderness.
Directors have captured the right sensitivity and handled emotions at its best. After Barjatyas & Johars we do have now Radhika & Vinay who can make you cry touching your hearts. Love is not just about achieving; its giving, its sacrifice and much more. Inder brings in rightly, Saru brings in rightly, duo directors brings in rightly.
Sanam Teri Kasam is high on emotions, rich in content, superb in story telling, melodious in music, mesmerizing in its performances. All this does makes it Must Watch on your watch-list this weekend. Go for it.
