Reframe any video to any aspect ratio — without losing your subject

OyeFilmy’s Auto Reframe converts a video between aspect ratios — 16:9 to 9:16 for Reels and Shorts, square for feeds, or any custom ratio — by detecting the main character and panning the crop to follow them, the way a camera operator would. A static centre crop loses the subject the moment they move; Auto Reframe keeps them in frame for the full shot.

What you can do

  • Subject detection with a smoothed pan-and-tilt camera path — not a fixed centre crop
  • Prompt-driven regenerative reframing with Seedance 2.5, Seedance 2.0 or LTX when you want the frame extended, not cropped
  • A free FFmpeg crop for fast, deterministic centre cuts
  • All standard social ratios plus custom sizes, exported ready to post

How it works

  1. 1

    Upload the video

Drop in any clip — generated on OyeFilmy or shot on a camera.

  2. 2

    Pick the target ratio

Choose 9:16, 1:1, 4:5 or a custom ratio, and choose tracked Auto Reframe, prompt-driven Seedance reframing, or the free centre crop.

  3. 3

    Export

The reframed video renders with your subject kept in frame throughout, ready for Reels, Shorts, TikTok or feed.

Frequently asked questions

How is Auto Reframe different from a centre crop?

A centre crop keeps the middle of the frame regardless of where the action is, so a subject who walks to the edge simply leaves the shot. Auto Reframe analyses the video, finds the main character, and moves the crop window along a smoothed path to follow them — the subject stays in frame at every timestamp.

Can AI extend the frame instead of cropping it?

Yes. The prompt-driven reframe modes (Seedance 2.5, Seedance 2.0, LTX) regenerate the shot in the target ratio, which can reconstruct the scene beyond the original frame instead of cutting into it. Use it when a vertical crop of a wide shot would lose too much.

What formats and ratios are supported?

Standard MP4/MOV/WebM input, and any output ratio — 9:16 for Reels, Shorts and TikTok, 1:1 and 4:5 for feeds, 16:9 for YouTube, or a custom ratio.
